[Remote] Facilities Engineering Project Manager

TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and they are seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Manager. This role involves coordinating and completing projects, overseeing all aspects of project management, and working with engineers on the design and delivery of distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of project/program
- Oversees all aspects of projects/program
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project/program
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project/program
- May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Leads and directs the work of others
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
- In this role you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems around the globe
- You are responsible for managing a technology or integration project, successfully delivering the solution to meet project goals
- You may work directly with external equipment vendors, customers, or partners, and you have a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies utilized in fulfillment and distribution center designs
- To meet timelines and minimize disruption to support teams, you manage the overall schedule, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope of engineering deliverables under control
- Travel to site
- Will assign to home base as close as possible
- Manage vendor onsite through deployment phase
- Check on milestone completion, quality of work, etc and repeat each day
- Partner with other stakeholders onsite(RME, operations, etc) , to ensure all are coming together
Skills
- May require a bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

- Program Management skills – a lot of coordination with operations
- Technical skills with engineering experience
- Networking knowledge/testing experience
- At least 6+ years of Project/Program Experience
- Strong communication skills
- Reviewing engineering docs/
- Managing temporary systems
- Engineering experience would be great (electrical/mechanical aspect)
- Experience of retrofits or live operational sites
