Responsibilities: • Provide virtual instruction and support to students with special needs, including but not limited to developmental disabilities, learning disorders, and behavioral challenges. • Collaborate with school-based teams to assess students' needs, develop appropriate goals, and monitor progress. • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and challenges. • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology tools to engage students and enhance learning outcomes. • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and services provided. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred) • Valid Special Education teaching license/certification in Maine. • Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. • Proficiency in utilizing technology for virtual instruction (e.g., video conferencing platforms, educational software).
