The company, a dynamic and expanding business specializing in wireless communications infrastructure, invites skilled and dedicated professionals to join our team in Fulton, MD. We are currently seeking experienced individuals with a solid background in bookkeeping and accounting to take on the crucial responsibility of managing our day-to-day financial tasks. From accounts payable to accounts... receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliation management, and continuous periodic financial reporting, this role is integral to our trusted management team. In this position, the successful candidate will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing strong accounting expertise and high-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is essential. For the right individual, we are open to a hybrid/remote work arrangement. This is a full-time position that includes a comprehensive benefits package. Duties/Responsibilities ? Assist in the design and setup of the Job Cost Accounting System. ? Record all day-to-day financial transactions accurately. ? Process Accounts Receivable and Payable efficiently. ? Monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts. ? Monitor and review financial transactions. ? File Sales tax returns promptly. ? Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management. ? Process payroll efficiently. ? Collaborate with the Payroll company to integrate with the Accounting System. ? Manage insurance policies and coordinate annual audits of those policies. ? Maintain effective communication with management, staff, vendors, and occasionally, clients. ? Ensure that accounting, budget, and audit controls and systems are in compliance with State, Federal, and local rules and regulations. ? Create and maintain employee personnel files in accordance with company and legal requirements. ? Provide HR operational support when needed. Qualifications ? BS/Associate Degree in Accounting. ? Preferred: BS in Business, Accounting, Math, or Economics. ? Successful completion of a criminal background check. ? Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. ? Strong attention to detail. ? Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently. ? Exceptional organizational skills. ? Excellent data entry skills. ? Proficient in payroll accounting. ? Strong knowledge of general accounting principles. ? Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software QuickBooks Online and/or desktop.
