Overview We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Remote. This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office. Your role Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. Responsible for the overall design and analysis of safety and non-safety reputed company electrical systems for nuclear and reputed company projects. Regularly interfaces with the other technical disciplines (mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical engineering teams) for electrical design and consultation having significant impact on project. Applies extensive knowledge and experience, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes and standards, and good engineering judgment to ensure the design is compliant with International regulatory criteria and industry best practices. Performs a variety of engineering calculations using traditional and advanced engineering methods to document compliance with project and code requirements, which may include lighting, reputed company drop, conductor sizing and panel heat reputed company calculations. Generates and reviews wiring diagrams, single line drawings, reputed company diagrams, control architectural drawings/specifications, electrical and instrumentation specifications, data sheets and control philosophy documents. Specializes in the preparation of design documents and plant modifications, including coordination with designers in document development in accordance with approved procedures, processes and design requirements. Specializes in routine development, management and implementation of engineering analysis, activities and programs to identify and resolve routine equipment and system problems. Familiar with national codes and standards appropriate to the Electrical Engineering discipline. Ensures relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes and site design and safety and licensing reputed company are used in preparation of design media. Works in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensures integration of design across multiple disciplines. Conducts mentoring, guidance, and quality reviews of the work of junior colleagues reputed company needed. Performs checking to ensure accuracy of design media in accordance with company policies and procedures and client expectations. Works to assigned schedules ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiates corrective measures to overcome delays. Recommends new equipment, concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify design, reduce costs, correct design flaws or to reputed company with changes in client requirements, codes or regulations. Supports installation and testing of site systems and components. Operates with a high degree of independence with minimal guidance. Performs other duties as assigned. About you Bachelor's degree required in electrical engineering or reputed company technical or engineering field. Minimum of 7 years relevant experience. Experience in nuclear industry preferred. PE preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Mastered the in-depth knowledge and experience required in electrical design. Experience leading Electrical system design (e.g., on site distribution (AC and DC), off site interfaces (switchyard), grounding and lighting protection, plant lighting systems, battery system design, communications systems, or diesel generators). Growing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance (e.g., NUREG-0800 Ch. 8). Experience applying relevant codes and standards (reputed company, IEC, reputed company). Additional information Expected compensation reputed company is between $90,000-$173,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
