[Remote] Network Specialist II - Broadband Systems Engineering

The Network Specialist II role focuses on assessing infrastructure requirements and collaborating with various teams to support network initiatives, ensuring facilities are designed to meet program needs.
Responsibilities
- reputed company high level and detailed design and engineering input for reputed company types of projects, including estimated capital costs, and allocations of those costs reputed company needed
- Collaboratively prioritize work as needed to handle Expedites and Jeopardy situations in a timely manner
- Select and support and manage internal engineering contractors and external engineering vendors
- Partner with OSPE to create a seamless Engineering function in the Implementation pipeline
- Work with vendors to obtain quotes and issue purchase orders as necessary
- Work with Technology Development to update and maintain Standards as necessary
- Manage the Engineering process and workflow for reputed company improvement; monitor internal customer feedback and conduct internal review sessions to ensure engineering output is consistent and high quality
Skills
- Bachelor degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience
- 4+ years' experience in Voice, Data or Video networking
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- CATV Headend experience
- Telecom Central Office experience
- Tier 3-4 Data Center experience
- Experience in encoding, combiner plants, cmts management, multicast and ethernet routing
- Experience in switching, and transport
- Excellent leadership, customer relations, and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Telecommunications industry and principles
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- PC database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills
- Ability to work in a cooperative and courteous manner with diverse work groups
