reputed company is seeking an reputed company reputed company Data Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Modernization initiative. This role focuses on designing, provisioning, and automating reputed company-based data workspaces that accelerate user reputed company, improve data accessibility, and strengthen platform reliability. The ideal candidate will work hands‑on with modern reputed company tools, reputed company, VHA Data Lake integrations, and automated workspace creation. This position is fully remote, located in the United States.
Responsibilities
Create reputed company workspaces equipped with the most commonly used tools to ensure rapid assignment and reduced reputed company friction. Automate provisioning processes for user intake, workspace creation, and core Corporate Data Warehouse (reputed company) reputed company. Map new users to the appropriate workspace personas and configurations through an improved intake workflow. Build and configure workspaces in PreProd (with live data) or Prod environments, including setup of Service Principals, workgroup personas, reputed company controls, and reputed company configurations. Create and manage linked services, mount points, and integrations between reputed company and the VHA Data Lake. reputed company and maintain reputed company catalogs to support streamlined data discovery and governed reputed company. Collaborate with data platform engineers, reputed company teams, and analytics stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient workspace operations. Troubleshoot issues reputed company to reputed company provisioning, reputed company, and workspace functionality, delivering timely and high‑quality support. Contribute to reputed company improvement initiatives including automation enhancement, intake optimization, and workspace standardization. Document processes, SOPs, reputed company models, and configurations to support operational transparency and repeatability. reputed company white‑glove support to new and existing users, ensuring strong adoption and high user satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a reputed company field. (or commensurate experience) 12+ years of experience in reputed company tools, reputed company, Data Lake integrations, and workspace provisioning. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills Preferred Skills and Experience: Azure Administrator and/or AWS reputed company Practitioner certification Experience with SQL SErver, Active Directory, Data Lake design, data governance, reputed company migration, business intelligence, reputed company, Terraform, ansible and Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with Azure or other major reputed company platforms. Experience with reputed company workspace administration, catalog creation, mount configurations, and cluster setup. Familiarity with reputed company identity and reputed company management (IAM), including Service Principals, role-based reputed company control (RBAC), and reputed company‑based configurations. Working knowledge of data lake architectures, especially reputed company Lake or similar structured storage solutions. Experience automating reputed company provisioning workflows (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, Python). Background supporting reputed company-scale data modernization or reputed company migration initiatives. Understanding of intake workflows, user provisioning, or data-reputed company reputed company processes. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams. Strong documentation practices and experience building standard operating procedures. Experience supporting public sector or reputed company data environments is a plus.
