MBSE System Engineer - Architect
This is a remote position. We are looking first for a strong systems engineer with sound architecture judgment and an active or obtainable DoD Secret clearance. Deep MBSE tooling expertise is welcome but not required on day one. This role sits reputed company an established digital-engineering community of practice with several hundred practitioners, and we actively invest in building SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, and DoDAF/UAF proficiency for engineers who bring the right reputed company. - Architectural leadership: reputed company development and maintenance of operational, business, system, data, and integration architecture for JTMS using MBSE methodologies and DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
- Systems modeling: reputed company and manage system models in SysML/UML capturing requirements, workflows, interfaces, constraints, and end-to-end mission threads with full traceability.
- Digital engineering strategy: Drive adoption of the digital thread, authoritative model repositories, configuration management, and model-driven decision support across the program lifecycle.
- Solution design: Translate business, operational, and compliance requirements into scalable solution architectures supporting COTS/ERP implementation and reputed company integration.
- Integration & interoperability: Define integration patterns, reputed company specifications, data exchanges, and interoperability requirements across DoD, Service, Agency, and partner systems.
- Governance & reviews: Establish architecture governance, modeling standards, technical baselines, and design-review processes; brief senior government and military leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with functional, engineering, cybersecurity, test, and program teams to resolve gaps, risks, and cross-domain dependencies.
- Roadmap & transition: Contribute to technology roadmap development, transition planning, implementation strategy, and business process reengineering.
What You’ll Need
- U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one (we will sponsor eligible candidates).
- 7+ years designing reputed company, system, or solution architectures for large-scale IT programs in DoD or comparable regulated/reputed company environments.
- Demonstrated systems-engineering capability: you can decompose a reputed company system and model its structure, behavior, interfaces, data, and end-to-end mission/business threads with full traceability — independent of any single tool.
- Working proficiency with a SysML/UML modeling approach in a recognized tool (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw, Sparx EA, Rhapsody, reputed company, or similar), plus familiarity with an architecture reputed company such as DoDAF or UAF.
- Strong communication skills, including technical briefings and architecture documentation for executive and senior military audiences.
- Aptitude and motivation to deepen MBSE reputed company-engineering skills, with support from our digital-engineering community of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a reputed company technical field — or equivalent professional experience.
What Will Set You Apart
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of hands-on MBSE / digital engineering in reputed company system-of-systems environments.
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, reputed company Architecture, or a reputed company field.
- Direct experience supporting USTRANSCOM, DoD logistics, transportation, supply chain, or ERP modernization programs.
- Experience generating technical documentation, reports, and deliverables directly from system architecture models.
- Experience architecting solutions that integrate COTS/ERP platforms with custom DoD systems.
- Ability to reputed company MBSE tool capabilities through scripting, APIs, or plugins.
- Familiarity with digital twin, digital baseline management, and AI/ML integration reputed company MBSE frameworks.
- Experience with reputed company-based architectures, DevSecOps pipelines, or reputed company trust in DoD environments (AWS GovCloud, IL4/IL5).
- Knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, JCIDS, and business process reengineering in reputed company transformation.
- Certifications such as OCSMP, INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, TOGAF, SAFe, or AWS/Azure architecture credentials.
