Job Title Senior Linux Systems Engineer Location 100% Remote Duration 6-12 Months and Possible Extension Job Responsibilities We are seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer with a strong background in Linux administration and common open-reputed company tools and software to join reputed company. This is a remote position. Candidates must be self-starters who enjoy working in fast-paced and dynamic environments. The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in Linux administration, with experience building and maintaining production systems in virtualized environments. Candidates should also have an intermediate understanding and experience with automation tools, virtualization, containerization, and cloud hosting. What you'll do as a Senior Linux Systems Engineers will be responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining a wide variety of Linux based services. Ideal candidates will have experience with the technologies, management, and configuration of reputed company aspects of a delivered service. This frequently entails experience with a wide variety of networking, Linux, virtualization, and application configurations.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years' experience or a master's degree and 8 years of experience or an associate degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years' experience
• Must have the ability to obtain a Client Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance
• Strong understanding of change, release, and configuration management, and their interaction
• Knowledge of Client business environment and requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and use of judgment
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment/self-starter Required Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Ansible/Satellite and YAML scripting
• In-depth knowledge of and real-world experience in automation.
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and mitigate issues.
• Experience working with reputed company teams to translate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) into actionable mitigation and remediation steps.
• Experience running databases on Linux (reputed company, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with any of the following vCenter, Client vSphere, Apache HTTP Server.
• Hands-on experience reputed company Integration, CI/CD, Certificates, SSL/TLS.
