Remote Data Entry Agent – Pension Records & Retirement Education Administration

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About arenaflex

arenaflex is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting public school districts and the educators who serve them. Our work centers on delivering high-quality, product-neutral retirement education that empowers classified, certificated, confidential, and administrative school employees to make informed decisions about their financial futures. Founded by individuals with deep roots in the public education system — including family members who are teachers, administrators, and staff — we understand firsthand the value that educators bring to their communities and the importance of dignified retirement for every district employee.

At arenaflex, we believe that retirement security is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Our team partners with school districts across the country to provide no-cost retirement education workshops, one-on-one counseling sessions, and ongoing resources that help public school employees navigate the often complex landscape of pension planning. To deliver on this promise, we rely on accurate, well-organized data that enables our educators, counselors, and program managers to serve thousands of district employees with precision and care.

We are currently seeking a meticulous and dependable Remote Data Entry Agent to join our administrative team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining accurate records and understands how critical data integrity is to supporting meaningful retirement outcomes for educators nationwide.

Position Overview

The Remote Data Entry Agent plays a vital behind-the-scenes role at arenaflex, ensuring that the data powering our retirement education programs is accurate, current, and securely maintained. Every record you manage helps our educational team reach the right employees with the right information at the right time. From entering new participant data to verifying existing records and generating reports for management, your work directly supports the financial well-being of public school educators across the districts we serve.

This position is fully remote, offering you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to a purpose-driven organization. You will collaborate closely with our program coordinators, retirement education specialists, and management team to ensure seamless data flow and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Input: Enter and update teacher pension records, participant information, and district data into arenaflex's secure database systems with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Data Verification and Quality Control: Review, audit, and verify all incoming data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify discrepancies and take corrective action promptly.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain and continuously update existing data records to ensure all participant and district information remains current, correct, and properly archived.
  • Report Generation and Distribution: Prepare, generate, and distribute routine and ad-hoc reports as requested by management, program coordinators, and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all data processing activities comply with arenaflex policies, data privacy regulations, and relevant industry standards, including confidentiality requirements for sensitive employee information.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with team members, retirement counselors, and other departments to resolve data discrepancies, clarify information, and improve data workflows.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough, organized documentation of all data processing activities, system updates, and procedural changes to support audit readiness and operational continuity.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data entry workflows, reduce errors, and enhance the overall quality of the organization's data infrastructure.
  • Confidentiality: Handle all sensitive participant and district information with the utmost discretion, maintaining strict adherence to data protection protocols at all times.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework, certifications, or training in data management, administrative support, or related fields are a strong plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in data entry, administrative data processing, records management, or a similar role is preferred, though motivated candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic spreadsheet functions). Familiarity with database management systems and CRM platforms is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and errors before they become problems.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive personal and financial information with absolute discretion, professionalism, and ethical integrity.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members and other departments.
  • Self-Motivation: Comfortable working independently in a remote setting, with the discipline and initiative to stay productive without close supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with pension, retirement, benefits administration, or education-sector data.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as FERPA, HIPAA, or similar frameworks governing employee and student information.
  • Experience using cloud-based data platforms, document management systems, or workflow automation tools.
  • Typing speed of 50+ words per minute with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy.
  • Background or strong interest in the education, public sector, or nonprofit space.

Core Skills and Competencies for Success

To thrive as a Data Entry Agent at arenaflex, you will draw on a blend of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who combine precision with curiosity, independence with collaboration, and reliability with a genuine commitment to our mission of supporting public educators.

  • Analytical Thinking: The ability to interpret data, recognize patterns, and resolve inconsistencies logically.
  • Time Management: Skill in balancing routine data entry tasks with time-sensitive reporting requests.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new systems, adjust to evolving processes, and embrace feedback as a path to continuous improvement.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfort navigating multiple software platforms and learning new tools quickly.
  • Problem Solving: Resourcefulness in identifying data issues and proposing practical solutions.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A service-minded approach when interacting with internal stakeholders and, occasionally, district partners.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

At arenaflex, we believe that every role — including data-focused positions — is a pathway to meaningful career development. As a Data Entry Agent, you will gain in-depth knowledge of retirement education operations, public sector benefits administration, and data management best practices. High-performing team members often grow into roles with greater responsibility, including data quality analyst, operations coordinator, or program support specialist positions.
