Role Overview – External Support Engineer (Entry Level, Remote)

In this remote, entry‑level position, you will be the first point of contact when content teams encounter challenges with our proprietary tools, and you will translate their feedback into actionable insights for our development engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to external content teams using arenaflex’s suite of creation tools.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop clear reference guides, tutorials, and onboarding materials; conduct virtual training sessions to accelerate team proficiency.
  • Issue Diagnosis & Resolution: Troubleshoot tool‑related problems, reproduce bugs, and implement work‑arounds to minimize downtime for creators.
  • Escalation Management: Identify complex or high‑impact issues, log them in JIRA, and collaborate with the tools development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Advocacy & Feedback Loop: Gather, prioritize, and communicate feature requests and workflow improvement ideas from external partners to internal engineering.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists to design and refine tools that boost productivity and quality.
  • Feature Development Participation: Contribute to the ideation, design, and testing phases of new tool features, ensuring they meet real‑world creator needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of C# syntax and the ability to read and interpret simple code snippets.
  • Experience supporting live services, tools, or platforms—whether through internships, academic projects, or volunteer work.
  • Familiarity with Unity 3D, including basic scene setup, asset import, and script debugging.
  • Hands‑on experience with issue‑tracking systems such as JIRA or Confluence.
  • Exposure to mobile development concepts for iOS and Android (e.g., understanding of SDKs, build pipelines, or testing frameworks).
