Audience Engagement Assistant, Marketing, Random House Children's Books (Hybrid)

Random House Publishing Group is a leading publishing house seeking an Audience Engagement Assistant for their Marketing department. This role supports digital marketing efforts for children's books, focusing on paid media and project management across various channels targeting different age groups.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain processes and track projects for the team, overseeing weekly Audience Engagement project status meeting, updating the team on the status of projects in the pipeline, proactively communicating due dates, aligning team projects with marketing department key dates, making updates in the department project management system in real time
  • Manage the design and asset creation workflow in partnership with the Marketing Design team including adding tasks to the team’s project management system on a seasonal basis, submitting copy, routing assets for approval, incorporating feedback, trafficking and archiving finalized assets
  • Build and manage the team’s advertising grid, populating campaigns on a seasonal basis, adding drop ins as they arise, and updating budgets and run dates as needed
  • Support advertising process tasks including vendor booking, influencer deliverables, tracking campaign status, and compiling analytics as needed
  • Process all team invoices and new vendor set up forms, tracking payment, updating budget documents, and working with the marketing team, vendors, and PRH Accounts Payable department to ensure timely payment for all vendors
  • Organize and coordinate Audience Engagement team book shipments to influencers, external vendors, content creation partners, and prize winners
  • Assist Audience Engagement team with additional tasks and administrative projects such as taking meeting notes, writing copy,, building and maintaining seasonal tracking grids and processes, managing team file storage system, acting as team point person for corporate and departmental processes

Skills

  • Candidate should be proactive and exceptionally organized with sharp attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and will thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal & writing skills are essential
  • Interest in and knowledge of social media, advertising, and digital marketing a plus
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams, Google docs; working knowledge of Project management tools
