Civil Engineer

The Entry- or Mid-Level Civil Engineer supports the analysis, design, and evaluation of concrete systems to ensure safety, performance, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis and design of concrete systems for buildings, infrastructure, and specialty applications
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports under the direction of senior engineers
- Support the development and review of construction documents, including drawings and specifications
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Assist with resolving technical issues during design, testing, and construction phases
- Support evaluation of concrete materials, construction methods, and performance criteria
- Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices related to concrete and civil engineering
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Foundational knowledge of civil engineering and concrete design principles
- Internship, co‑op, or project experience involving concrete or construction
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑based environment
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ACI, ASCE, and IBC
