DevOps Engineer

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Oddball believes that the best products are built when companies understand and value the things they are working on. We value learning and growth and the ability to make a big impact at a small company. We believe that we can make big changes happen and improve the daily lives of millions of people by bringing quality software to the federal space.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to support an SEC program, working on the CI/CD platform that underpins agency-wide software delivery and cloud operations.

  • Integrating CI/CD systems with agency tools including GitHub, Nexus/Artifactory, and ServiceNow
  • Managing AWS infrastructure (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS Fargate) and building IaC using CloudFormation and/or CDK
  • Enhancing DevSecOps capabilities including SBOM generation, SCA, dependency vulnerability management, and IaC scanning
  • Automating compliance processes through OSCAL integration and ATO evidence collection
  • Monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, and exploring AI/ML tooling for vulnerability prioritization and automated code review

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and CI/CD pipeline engineering
  • Proficiency with GitHub Actions, CloudFormation and/or CDK
  • Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS Fargate
  • Solid Linux administration and scripting skills in Python or Bash
  • Familiarity with OSCAL, RMF, and ATO processes
  • Experience with software supply chain security — SBOM, SCA, dependency scanning
  • SEC or federal agency experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working remotely with strong async communication habits
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
