The 4–6-year sequence emphasizes individualized pathways to completion, mentorships, work-based experiences, in-depth project-based learning, and real-world experiences Teaching Assistants provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher and complete related work as required. The duties of this position may require specific skills and abilities based on the students’ needs and/or program, including but not limited to

• Ability to work with a diverse population of students.

• Support students to ensure a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning

. • Implement specialized instruction to students with emotional and learning disabilities.

• Collaborate with colleagues and assist teacher to meet student learning needs.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders.

• Assist students with daily living skills (dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.), as applicable.

• Assist with maintaining record keeping.

• Attend staff meetings and trainings.

• Promote equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments.
