Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CareSource is a healthcare organization offering a 12-week paid summer internship program for college students. The intern will provide support on special projects and initiatives, focusing on quality and performance outcomes related to Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT).

Responsibilities

  • Perform evidence based research on Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) to understand common barriers to completion and evidence based interventions
  • Collaborate with key business owners to understand current business processes
  • Review internal and external data to understand year over year performance for key measures
  • Perform data analyses to understand common characteristics of non-compliant population, including SDOH
  • Develop insights and recommendations based on data review and analysis and present findings to business partners and leadership
  • Determine targeted member interventions and solutions to improve performance in EPSDT metrics

Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Current Rising Junior or Senior in an accredited degree program or graduated within the last 6 months is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Effective listening and critical thinking skills
  • Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Effective problem-solving skills with attention to detail
