What Will You Achieve in This Role?

As a key member of the Model Risk Management Group (MRMG) within the Global Risk and Compliance Group, you will be responsible for the independent risk management of all arenaflex models. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the effective governance and control of our models, particularly those leveraging cutting-edge Gen AI (Large Language Models) and AI-based models for marketing, credit, fraud, or other business/risk types.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and controlling model risk, specifically related to the advanced Gen AI (Large Language Models). This role will aim to enhance model quality, strengthen long-term investor value, and adapt to the changing landscape of both model development, external environment, and elevated regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Direct independent oversight of company-wide models, with a focus on Gen AI (Large Language Models) and AI-based models for marketing, credit, fraud, or other business/risk types.

• Conduct thorough model risk assessments and establish robust frameworks to strengthen model risk controls and meet elevated regulatory requirements.
• Direct AI/ML research to investigate potential opportunities to enhance model quality and drive business impact.
• Communicate results to stakeholders, senior management, and other model councils.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective model governance and risk management.

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering) or a related field.

• Proven experience in model risk management, with a focus on AI/ML models.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards for model risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in a quantitative field or a related field.

• Experience working with Gen AI (Large Language Models) and AI-based models.
• Certification in model risk management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or SQL).
• Experience working in a financial services or related industry.
