To bring you up to speed, here is a summary of the milestones completed so far:
Hardware installation (Power10 devices)
VIOS creation and SAN setup
In addition, we are contracted to migrate and upgrade the Oracle and FileNet applications to the new infrastructure. During implementation, the team encountered challenges connecting to the existing SAN. After investigation, it was determined that the SAN storage had reached its end of life. To ensure project continuity, the team agreed to use rsync to transfer data from the old infrastructure to the new environment.
As a result of this approach, the Oracle application has not yet been launched. To complete the project, the following tasks are required:
Create a new LPAR running AIX 7.3
Verify Oracle upgraded version compatibility with AIX 7.3
Upgrade Oracle (current version 12.1)
Upgrade FileNet (current version 4.2)
Verify accessibility and functionality of both applications
