Work from home Full-time role Hiring

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Wesco, you’ll take on a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge solutions for a broad spectrum of clients. This is more than a technical role—it's an opportunity to influence the future of industrial innovation by working hands-on with industry leaders in design, automation, and electrical engineering. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, partnering closely with both internal teams and client engineering groups to co-develop next-generation products, troubleshoot complex challenges, and modernize legacy systems. Whether you're supporting new product development or rolling out large-scale retrofits, you'll drive high-impact results by combining deep technical expertise with strategic collaboration. As a key player in our solutions-focused environment, you’ll also harness the power of Wesco’s supplier ecosystem—connecting clients with emerging technologies, training teams, and amplifying value through thought leadership and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical efforts on complex projects including new product design, upgrades, and retrofits.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, automation, and electronic engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Serve as a technical bridge between clients and suppliers, driving solution adoption through education, specification, and application development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on client and industry technologies, offering strategic insights and direction.
  • Train and support Wesco sales teams with in-depth product and application knowledge.
  • Deliver post-sales support, ensuring smooth integration and performance of implemented solutions.
  • Identify and promote Wesco’s value-added solutions, working alongside sales and specialized support teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree – Engineering, Technology, Automation, Robotics or related field or equivalent education or work experience required
  • Master Degree - Engineering or related technology field preferred
  • 5 years required, 7 years preferred, of Electrical, Automation, Mechanical or Electronic design, application and/or technical sales experience
  • Experience of leadership responsibility managing project teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in project managements
  • Excellent co-ordination skills with attention to detail and ability to effectively manage projects as well as support tasks and enhancements including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Strong project management / time management skills
  • Strong product knowledge and application knowledge
  • PLC and HMI programming skills
  • Panel design and layout
  • Proficient in solid works or similar software
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to travel 25% - 50%
