Baer is looking for SAP Data Architect for a 3-month Federal Remote Project.

Title: SAP Data Architect Location: Remote - Seattle, WA, St. Louis, MO Duration: 3 months Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed Alignment: W2 or C2C

Description

• Design comprehensive data architectures and governance models aligned with SAP standards and business objectives.
• Serve as the lead architect for SAP S/4HANA data initiatives, especially focused on U.S. localizations within a global template.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions ensuring long-term health and performance of the data platform.
• Define and implement enterprise data governance policies, including data quality, access, security, and compliance standards.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise data needs.
• Establish and maintain a data catalog using tools like Collibra for Master, Transaction, and Reference data.
• Drive integration of BusinessAI capabilities into modern reporting and planning solutions.
• Support and lead data migration efforts including architecture, tools, and process design.
• Promote SAP best practices including Clean Core, SAP RISE, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP BW.
• Identify opportunities for data management process improvements and data quality enhancements.

Requirements

• Prior Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or discrete manufacturing experience (Public Sector-only experience does not qualify).
• Experience as a Value Stream Lead in U.S. deployment of SAP S/4HANA global design.
• Hands-on experience configuring and deploying specific SAP components.
• Minimum 5 years of professional consulting or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on SAP systems configuration experience.
• Successfully completed at least three full lifecycle implementations of S/4HANA (v2019 or later).
• Experience in rollout and localization of a global template.
• Strong knowledge of SAP s Data & Analytics portfolio and cloud methodologies such as RISE and Clean Core.
• Experience with Collibra for data cataloging.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP and integration frameworks.
• Background in data security, compliance, and data integration best practices.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and drive alignment between business and technical stakeholders.
