Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical to ICU Career Path

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care. This role will begin in our 47-bed Medical Surgical unit, serving various medical patients, and will transition to an RN ICU position within 18-24 months. You will have regular shadow shifts and touchpoints with the ICU team, as well as opportunities for professional development and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to plan and implement care
- Provide patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions
- Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules

Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
