We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that transform how billions of users interact with information and each other. As a Senior Staff Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale software solutions, with a focus on Google Kubernetes Engine Observability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and influence the direction of our software development efforts
• Coach and mentor a distributed team of developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines to drive project success
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely and effective delivery of software solutions
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions that meet the needs of our users

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture, testing, and launching software products
• Experience in infrastructure systems, distributed computing, and system design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role, leading project teams and setting technical direction
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
