QC Manager--CQM Required
QC Manager--OCONUS Position Overview The QC Manager will oversee operations OCONUS and ensure compliance with federal regulations at a project site in Australia for the full project duration of 3 years. This position will be representing a US based Prime Contractor with ongoing US and overseas projects. Ability and willingness to travel internationally is required. NOTE: Prior experience working on USACE and/or NAVFAC projects and active CQM certification is required for serious consideration. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for construction projects including civil and vertical scope.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports, records, and compliance certifications.
- Train and mentor team members and other staff on quality control practices and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to quality management in construction.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant civil and vertical construction experience (3+ years of QC management)
- Prior experience on overseas federal construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Active CQM cert
- Successful track record of completion on DOD construction
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain a base clearance
- Prior experience with hangar construction is a PLUS
