Duration of Appointment Summer, Academic Year Maximum Scheduled Weekly Hours 20 Job Description Summary Personal trainers for Miami University are hired to assess, design, and supervise exercise programs for Recreational Center patrons.

Job Description

Essential Duties Maintains a safe and friendly environment, keeping patron well-being and satisfaction the priority Assesses, designs, and supervises exercise program for client according to their limitations and goals. Reports to appointments on time and in the proper uniform. Provides instruction on proper exercise equipment use and techniques. Addresses client concerns and questions involving Fitness Center or programs taking place within the Fitness Center. Reports any equipment issues, such as unsafe conditions or maintenance needs, observed during training to the Fitness staff. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Completes the Personal Training Program (ITP) and/or a Certification through a reputable governing body Obtains CPR/AED certification within 30 days of employment Additional Position Information (if applicable) Required Application Documents Resume, Posting Contact Information Erin Jennings [email protected] Additional Information A criminal background check may be required.
