This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work both in the office and remotely, offering a perfect balance of flexibility and collaboration with a team of dedicated professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of billing, from utilizing e-billing software to preparing appeals and handling invoice rejections. Manage all aspects of client billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. 2. Utilize e-billing software to create, submit and track invoices. 3. Prepare appeals for denied or reduced bills, effectively communicating with clients to resolve any billing issues. 4. Handle invoice rejections, identifying and rectifying any errors or discrepancies. 5. Create and maintain budgets and forecasts, working closely with the management team to ensure financial targets are met. 6. Collaborate with attorneys and other staff to ensure accurate timekeeping and billing practices. 7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clients’ billing guidelines and ensure compliance. 8. Provide reports and analysis to management on billing, collections, and other financial metrics. 9. Assist in the development and implementation of new billing procedures and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing or a similar role within a law firm. 2. Experience with e-billing software, preferably Elite or Aderant. 3. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. 4. Proven experience in preparing appeals and handling invoice rejections. 5. Familiarity with creating and managing budgets and forecasts. 6. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. 7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. 10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
