Senior Product Manager - Core Platform

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About the Company

Why We Built Lyric: Supply chains are more critical and complex than ever. Every day, large enterprises navigate trillions of possible decisions that could impact the bottom line. Powerful algorithms and AI can address these problems, yet most organizations struggle to leverage supply chain AI at scale. The current SCM technologies are either rigid, limited-scope point solutions or custom solutions built in-house, which demand immense expertise and investment.

That is…until now.

Enter Lyric: Lyric is an enterprise AI platform built specifically for supply chains, offering the best of both worlds:

  • Out-of-the-box AI solutions for optimizing networks, allocating inventory, scheduling routes, planning fulfillment capacity, promising orders, propagating demand, building predictions, analyzing scenarios, and more, plus

  • A platform-first approach that empowers both business and technical users with end-to-end product composability, leveraging no-code tools, their own code, or even forking our code to build and refine supply chain decision intelligence

With Lyric, enterprises no longer have to choose between flexibility and speed—they get both.

The Mission: We’re building a new era in supply chain with the team best equipped to lead it. With over 20 years at the intersection of supply chain and algorithms, we developed a deep conviction that global supply chains needed something like Lyric. Since our inception in December 2021, that conviction has been validated time and time again.

Today, a growing number of Fortune 500 companies, including Smurfit WestRock, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, Nike, and more, are innovating on their own terms with Lyric. We can’t wait to see what our customers, both current and future, are empowered to build with us next. Come build with us!

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of core platform features, driving the success of the platform's user-centric experience. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of data science, analytics, and analytics workflows, combined with prior product management experience building platforms that serve technical personas like data scientists and analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision

    • Develop and execute a product vision and roadmap for core platform features that cater to data scientists, analysts, and supply chain consultants.

    • Understand customer needs and translate them into a cohesive platform strategy that supports rapid model building through both code-first and no-code approaches.

    • Ensure alignment of product strategy with Lyric's overall business goals and growth objectives.

  • Feature Development & Execution

    • Lead the end-to-end development of core platform features, focusing on enhancing the user experience for technical personas such as data scientists and analysts.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, UX/UI design, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality products on time.

    • Prioritize features based on user feedback, market research, and business impact.

  • User-Centric Approach

    • Work closely with end-users (data scientists, analysts, supply chain consultants) to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and technical requirements.

    • Ensure that platform features meet the needs of both users who bring their own code and those who prefer a no-code solution.

  • Data Science & Analytics Expertise

    • Leverage your background in data science or analytics (preferably with experience in time series modeling and supply chain problems) to shape product decisions that resonate with technical users.

    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in machine learning, analytics, and platform development.

  • Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.

    • Present product updates, performance metrics, and future plans to senior leadership and key partners.

Qualifications

  • Experience

    • 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on building platforms or tools for data scientists, analysts, or technical users.

    • Previous hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, with a strong understanding of time series forecasting, predictive analytics, and supply chain optimization challenges is an added advantage but not a must have.

    • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling core platform features in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Skills

    • Deep understanding of data science workflows, analytics processes, and model development.

    • Strong technical acumen; ability to engage with engineering and data science teams to discuss product architecture, APIs, and integrations.

    • Familiarity with both code-first and no-code platforms for building models and solutions.

    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Preferred

    • Experience working on platforms that serve a mix of technical and non-technical personas.

    • Previous experience working with supply chain-specific data and problems is desirable but not a deal-breaker

    • Background in machine learning, time series modelling, or operations research is a +
