As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll provide critical support to patients and members, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring they receive the care and information they need. Experience with Health Insurance, Prior Authorizations, and Specialty Care Management is preferred! salary: $17 - $17.5 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 8 PM education: High School Responsibilities • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients or members with inquiries related to healthcare services, insurance coverage, and billing. • Provide accurate information regarding healthcare plans, benefits, and eligibility requirements. • Schedule appointments, process referrals, and coordinate care between providers and patients. • Resolve customer issues efficiently, including complaints or discrepancies related to claims or service delivery. • Document all customer interactions and updates in the system accurately and in compliance with HIPAA and company policies. • Collaborate with internal departments to address and escalate unresolved concerns, ensuring a seamless customer experience. • Educate patients or members about available healthcare resources and services, promoting preventative care options. • Follow established scripts and protocols while maintaining a professional and empathetic tone in all communications.
