BroadPath, where connection happens. BroadPath is seeking an Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician to join BroadPath's dynamic, connected culture! Our motivated, Unlicensed Pharmacy Technician will assist our members with calls regarding non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up-tier medication requests. Responsibilities • Process prior authorizations for prescriptions received from providers • Handle inbound member calls related to non-formulary, prior authorizations, and up tier medication requests • Research compound prescriptions to ensure accurate processing • Conduct possible outbound calls to providers for additional information • Provide prior authorization recommendations to reviewing Pharmacists based on established guidelines • Set up and process all specialty medication reviews, regardless of the benefit utilized • Maintain a working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims processing systems • Become a subject matter expert in prior authorization, non-formulary, and up tier medication requests, with a focus on Specialty Prior Authorization, pre-certification, and some retrospective reviews • Utilize computer systems to input prescription and patient information accurately. • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to pharmacy operations • Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills Qualification • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written • Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor • Computer literate (Microsoft Windows, keyboarding skills, strong systems aptitude) Candidate will be responsible for providing: • Responsible for providing your own 19" monitor or larger with VGA or HDMI port with corresponding cable, USB wired mouse, ethernet cable, and optional USB wired keyboard • Reliable hardwired internet is a must with at least 25mbps download|10mbps upload speeds Speed Test Disclaimer: • Please note that all Internet Speed Tests are monitored and will be verified.
