Key Responsibilities • As a Virtual Science Instructor, you will: • Deliver captivating virtual science lessons that adhere to Indiana state standards for grades 6-8, while mentoring students in grades 6-12. • Design and execute lesson plans, assessments, and interactive virtual labs utilizing a variety of digital tools. • Maintain ongoing communication with students and families, providing essential support to foster academic success in a remote setting. • Utilize online platforms to effectively monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement. • Participate in virtual staff meetings and professional development sessions, collaborating with leadership. • As a Middle School STEM Instructor, you will: • Teach engaging hands-on STEM courses, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving abilities among middle school students. • Develop a comprehensive STEM curriculum that integrates scientific principles, engineering practices, and project-based learning. • Cultivate a collaborative and inquiry-driven learning environment that motivates students to tackle real-world challenges. • Organize and supervise STEM-related activities, projects, and clubs to enhance student engagement. • Attend onsite faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Required Skills • A valid Indiana teaching license in science or a related field. • Experience in both virtual instruction and traditional classroom teaching is preferred. • Strong knowledge of Indiana state standards for Science and STEM curriculum. • Exceptional communication and organizational skills. • Ability to effectively balance time between virtual and onsite teaching responsibilities. • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or Canvas is preferred. • A passion for STEM education and a commitment to inspiring middle school students. Qualifications • Must possess a valid Indiana teaching license in science or a related field. • Previous experience in both virtual and in-person teaching environments is preferred.
