Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. In this critical position, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our data infrastructure, ensuring the seamless capture, integration, and organization of invaluable data assets. Your efforts will result in data that is readily accessible, trustworthy, and primed for insightful analysis, significantly influencing our organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have the autonomy to manage your workday while collaborating with a dedicated team passionate about data-driven outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will encompass: • Identifying and understanding customer requirements for data, facilitating the engineering of comprehensive database solutions. • Leveraging your expertise in database technologies and programming to construct and sustain effective data systems. • Ensuring the integration of data into user-centric formats while overseeing its governance in alignment with business objectives. • Evaluating new data sources, determining scalability, monitoring performance, and upholding data security. • Conducting preliminary data analyses and designing intuitive user interfaces to deliver significant insights to stakeholders. Required Skills • Strong proficiency in AWS services, including S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift, and Lambda. • Solid programming experience with Python, SQL, SparkSQL, and PySpark. • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities coupled with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in an agile setting (Scrum/Kanban). Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with AWS services. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Big Data environments (Hadoop, AWS, Python) is advantageous. • Familiarity with Spark streaming and agile development methodologies is preferred. • Understanding of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is a plus.
