We are actively seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract transcriptionists with a robust background in transcribing depositions and judicial hearings. This opportunity is fully remote and designed for independent contractors. Key Responsibilities • Accurately transcribe audio recordings of depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings into verbatim transcripts. • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while adhering to client-specific style guides. • Maintain high standards of literacy and grammatical accuracy in all transcripts. • Collaborate with our dedicated in-office team as required to resolve any issues that may arise. Required Skills • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential. • Exceptional listening skills and the ability to discern and capture spoken content accurately. • Strong literacy skills encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar proficiency. • Proficient typing abilities characterized by speed and accuracy. • Familiarity with legal terminology is a must. • Capability to process sensitive audio/text content (may be challenging). • Must successfully pass a background check. • Court reporting students are encouraged to apply.
