Required: A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare setting with pharmacy knowledge required Pharmacy Technician Certification required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent About the Opportunity: • Account Review and Qualification: The Medication Assistance Pharmacy Technician II reviews high-dollar self-pay accounts to determine eligibility for medication or implant assistance based on departmental policies. They work with drug manufacturers to qualify patients and ensure timely completion of all qualifying accounts. • Communication and Coordination: Maintains ongoing communication with hospital departments regarding assigned accounts to facilitate efficient handling and resolution. Keeps logs of approved accounts by facility and ensures proper handling of charges on approved accounts. • Regulatory Compliance and Knowledge: Stays updated on applicable regulations, policies, and procedures by reviewing materials and attending in-services.
