This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who ensures timely, accurate payroll execution while supporting benefits management and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations to improve employee experience and maintain process integrity. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a focus on continuous improvement and employee support.Accountabilities:
  • Process global payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Oversee benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and legal compliance (ACA, COBRA, ERISA)
  • Act as a primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries
  • Partner with Finance on payroll funding, tax reporting, and wage law compliance
  • Perform regular payroll audits and manage tax registrations
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and support onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Monitor legislative updates and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
  • Track FMLA, disability, and other leave policies
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and company-wide policies
  • Support HR projects to enhance employee experience and process efficiency
Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Proven knowledge of multi-state and international payroll processes
  • Familiarity with labor laws, payroll compliance, and tax regulations
  • Experience working with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Rippling or similar)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive information
