Join us in our mission of preventive health!About the role :We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join us in this adventure. As a Legal Counsel, you will support the Boston office in a wide range of legal topics, such as sales agreements, data compliance and privacy (HIPAA notably).This position is based in our Boston office, whose sales and medical department are growing quickly. Our Legal counsel will structure our legal processes with a strong sense of collaboration and responsibility.The Legal Counsel reports to the Head of Legal in France and will be part of Withings’s legal team. The legal team is expected to grow over the next months.This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and a strong capacity for resilience and adaptation, in order to be successful as part of Withings culture of innovation.Multiple travels per year to the head office in Issy-les-Moulineaux, next to Paris, are to be expected.Responsibilities

• Review, draft, analyze and negotiate contracts as well as other legal documents
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (clients, administrations, suppliers…)
• Develop our legal strategy for a variety of products and opportunities.
• Provide guidance in key topics such as data compliance
• Synthesize complex legal issues to provide clear, concise practical business-minded advice

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in law, in business law (notions in IT law, medical law, regulatory is a must)

• 2 to 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the health industry
• Significant experience in contracts negotiation
• HIPAA knowledge is a plus
• Fluent in French would be a major advantage,
• A previous significant study or work experience in France would be a major advantage.
• Enthusiasm for Withings' preventive health mission and the potential of technology to improve our lives
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, insight and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, with modern tools (Google WorkSpace, Notion, etc.).
• Willingness and ability to learn both the technical and medical aspects of Withings’ offering to develop a strong knowledge and position yourself as an expert. (Terms such as Type 2 Diabetes, Atrial Fibrillation, API or SDK integration don’t scare you, they motivate you to learn)

This position will be based in our Boston, MA office, and the employee will have the option of working a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home.Benefits
