Digital Communications Specialist (Remote or Hybrid)

Learn more about careers at the CSG Justice Center. How you'll fit in: The digital communications specialist is an integral part of the Communications and External Affairs division. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the organization to integrate digital communications initiatives into a coordinated multimedia strategy. This includes providing day-to-day digital support that may include maintenance, content development, and analytics reporting for CSG Justice Center social media accounts, emails/newsletters, and websites. What you'll do: Specific responsibilities of the digital communications specialist include the following:

• Develop digital content for our platforms and assist in exploring new content concepts and detecting new trends across digital media.
• Help maintain the content calendar and support dissemination of social and/or emails/newsletters.
• Provide ongoing maintenance of the CSG Justice Center social media channels, emails/newsletters, and/or websites.
• Create and update a monthly analytics report covering social, email, and/or web.
• Develop Qualtrics forms for surveys and event registration.
• Work with the Content team to edit, organize, and archive the CSG Justice Center's digital assets, including images and videos.
• Upload videos and webinars to our YouTube and/or website.
• Actively participate in staff discussions and strategic planning meetings.

What you'll bring:

• Strong interpersonal skills including self-awareness, sensitivity and valuing others
• Dedication to public service with an unfailing commitment to act with civility, be nonpartisan in performing CSG Justice Center duties, and be a responsible steward of member and donor funds
• At least one year of work experience and/or equivalent educational achievements in communications, digital marketing, social media, website development, or other related fields
• Proficiency with most of the following: word processing platforms (MS Office products), email outreach platforms (Constant Contact, HubSpot), social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn), social media marketing and management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, or Meltwater), data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Yoast), graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), visual asset management (Creative Cloud), and website development tools (WordPress)
• Experience quickly producing engaging written products, including social media copy, headlines, or website content, as well as infographics
• Knowledge of SEO/SEM practices
• Basic video editing knowledge (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or iMovie) and experience creating engaging short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts)
• Ability to actively contribute to projects and divisional strategic planning
• Positive, problem-solving attitude with colleagues and partners
• Strong follow-through on assignments
• Ability to maintain strong internal coordination of objectives through relationships, agenda-driven meetings, email, and appropriate elevation as issues arise
• Reliable and secure internet/data connection and flexibility for using a personal device for internet connectivity during business travel. A cost offset is provided by CSG

We will consider all paid and unpaid experience relevant to this position, including internships, fellowships, and volunteer activities. Compensation will be based on experience and geography. The salary range for this position is $57,500 - $79,000. Salary ranges are subject to change based on work location and market conditions. Our organization offers flexibility in work arrangements, allowing for remote work or a hybrid model. Candidates residing in the NYC metropolitan area will be considered for hybrid model employment.
