Senior Actuarial Analyst - ACA

About the position The Senior Actuarial Analyst position at Centene focuses on ACA marketplace actuarial pricing rate development. This role is designed for individuals with some actuarial experience and SOA exams, who are not yet credentialed with their ASA. The position involves financial analysis, risk assessment, and becoming a subject matter expert in actuarial pricing for assigned states. Responsibilities ? Assist in pricing, financial analysis, and risk assessment for the ACA marketplace. , ? Become the subject matter expert on actuarial pricing rate development in assigned state(s). , ? Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing assumptions. , ? Develop technical expertise and contribute to continuous improvement in modeling and processes. , ? Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and finance to calculate financial outcomes. , ? Assist in developing probability tables based on statistical data analysis. , ? Analyze and evaluate required premium rates. , ? Assess cash reserves and liabilities for future benefit payments. , ? Develop and run data reports. , ? Determine the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits. , ? Participate in merger and acquisition analysis. Requirements ? Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. , ? A combination of years of experience and number of actuarial exams passed equals or exceeds 5 (Rule of 5). , ? Some actuarial experience and SOA exams are required. Nice-to-haves ? Proficiency in Excel. , ? Knowledge in at least one coding language, ideally R and SQL. , ?
