About the position The Retail Stock & Fulfillment position at Nordstrom is designed for individuals who are independent, motivated, and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and unloading freight, unpacking merchandise, and delivering newly arrived items to the appropriate selling departments. You will also fulfill customer orders in a timely manner, adhering to quality standards throughout the process. This includes preparing and shipping customer orders while following established packing and shipping protocols. Additionally, you will utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments, ensuring compliance with our inventory control processes. Maintaining a clean and organized selling floor and stockroom is also a key responsibility, as is providing general support to the store, which may involve setting up special events, organizing the backroom, managing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures as needed. This position requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where prioritizing multiple tasks is essential. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial, along with the ability to use various technologies and new computer applications. Physical demands include the ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, as well as the flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs.
