In this role, you'll oversee civil litigation proceedings and use digital tools to record all content, including witness testimonies. The Digital Reporter is responsible for: ? Overseeing proceedings as an independent custodian of the record. ? Administering oaths to witnesses and fulfilling State Notary duties. ? Recording proceedings with high-fidelity audio technology for clear and comprehensive documentation. ? Annotating case events and terminology accurately for precise transcription. ? Conducting in-depth research and verifying information from various sources. ? Utilizing digital databases and online research tools proficiently. REQUIREMENTS ? State Notary Commission or eligibility to obtain it ? Possess or have the ability to obtain certification/state licensure (in required states) ? Familiarity with or willingness to learn about U.S. civil procedures ? Possess or be willing to acquire digital reporting equipment ? Comfortable moderating live legal proceedings ? Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing ? Strong technology skills, especially in typing ? Professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and appearance ? Willingness to work as an independent contractor ? Note: No shorthand nor stenography is required ?
