Overview

Are you an innovative and assertive leader with the ability to set and drive Cross Team technology direction in collaboration with our business partners' priorities and strategic vision? Burlington Stores is currently recruiting for a Manager of Applications Development where you will provide leadership and support for the technical team responsible for maintaining, supporting, and integrating the Oracle Retail Point of Service (XStore) in a 24 x 7 enterprise environment. In this role you will provide timely and effective delivery of technology solutions related to Store Systems while driving innovation, technical strategy, process control and improvement, and IT policy compliance. Additionally, you will manage a diverse team of associates, consultants, and 3rd-party vendor resources to provide production systems support, team leadership, and business customer relationships. A Day In The Life Manages our POS development team including gathering requirements, working with internal & external teams on development for XStore, authorizations, integrations with 3rd party systems, and defect management. Focused on optimizing IT service levels for assigned areas including containment of IT costs, enhancing service capabilities to increase user satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to improve IT delivery and business processes. Responsible for team building, staff development, succession planning, and resource allocation to ensure that the appropriate level of IT talent and participation is available for projects and production support. Assist in developing roadmap for the Store Systems in support of a strategy for continued store growth. Ensure outstanding customer service through delivery of cost-effective information technology solutions that support the various store initiatives. To Be Successful You Should Possess: Experience: ? 5+ years of IT Management experience in the areas of Applications Development, Project Management, leveraging and applying Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies ? 5+ years of Oracle Retail Point of Service XStore Experience ? Understanding of Store Systems, capabilities, and technologies including authorization and payment flow Skills and Abilities: ? Demonstrate high competency in the planning and execution of various projects; ability to lead multiple concurrent projects and project team members to successful goal achievement. ? Experience in leading multi-disciplined, high-performing work teams/groups. ? Demonstrate competency in strategic thinking, technical leadership, and tactical decision-making ? Ability to effectively manage 3rd party resources, ensuring contractual agreements are in place and commitments are delivered. Come join our team. You're going to like it here!
