Utilities Clerk

Job Summary: Fiesta Mart is seeking a friendly and reliable Utilities Clerk to join our team at Store 014 Houston Bellaire. As a Utilities Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our store remains clean, organized, and safe for both customers and employees. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, are detail-oriented, and can perform a variety of tasks to maintain store operations. Responsibilities: • Provide excellent customer service by bagging groceries and assisting customers with their purchases when needed. • Assist customers by carrying groceries to their vehicles as requested. • Maintain store cleanliness by performing tasks such as cleaning aisles, shelves, and restrooms to ensure a safe and sanitary shopping environment. • Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and ensure they are available for customer use. • Run price checks for customers and assist with go-backs to ensure proper inventory levels. • Help with check stand upkeep, including restocking supplies, organizing the checkout area, and ensuring a smooth transaction process. • Remove waste from the parking lot and other designated areas to maintain store cleanliness and safety. • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team to support store operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications and Experience: • Ability to read and write in both English and Spanish, and interact effectively with the general public and team members. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and shelf tags. • Capable of writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information to customers and staff. • Physical ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods. • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. It Would Be Extra Awesome if You Brought: • Basic PC/Outlook skills. • Retail Management Certificate or related certification.
