Paraprofessional / Teaching Assistant AB Staffing is looking for Paraprofessionals/Classroom Aides that are available for the 2024/2025 school year. Requirements: High school diploma, GED or equivalent Educational Aide Certification CPR/first aid certification Experience with preschool and school-aged populations. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Job Description: Caseload and details of position will differ based on school location Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 35 to 40 hours per week Contract follows the academic district calendar Key Responsibilities: Provides individual and group instruction as directed; demonstrates and assists students with skill development exercises. Implements designated portions of lesson plans. Participates with students in classroom activities Implements behavior modification plans. Observes and records student actions, progress, and other occurrences Prepares the classroom and helps manage the students; organizes the room and materials; records attendance; maintains bulletin boards Sets up and operates audio visual equipment Performs photocopying and general office clerical work Performs related work as required Salary: $665.00 – $770.00 per week based on 40 hours.
