Job Title: Software Developer Employment Type: Contract Expected to begin on or around April 16, 2025, and continue through August 31, 2025 Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $75 to $80 per hour
Work Location & Schedule:
- 100% Remote – Work must be performed within the United States.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Core hours: 8 AM to 5 PM CST (excluding government holidays)
About the Role: A government agency is seeking two experienced Software Developers to support a critical project focused on database performance optimization and software development. The selected candidates will work within the Information Technology – Statewide Data System team and contribute to a major statewide initiative that impacts thousands of public institutions. This role involves advanced database development, performance tuning, and query optimization within an Agile development environment. The Software Developer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity. Work will follow a structured software development lifecycle (SDLC), using Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts, including bulk collect and handling JSON/XML data
- Write and optimize complex Oracle queries to minimize system resource usage (SGA/PGA/TempSpace)
- Store, query, and manipulate JSON data within Oracle databases
- Develop complex queries and views for JSON-based data storage
- Optimize stored procedures and views to enhance performance
- Participate in documentation, unit testing, and Agile development processes
Candidate Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including bulk collect and handling JSON/XML data 7+ years writing and optimizing complex Oracle queries to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage 7+ Experience documentation and software development best practices 7+Hands-on experience with unit testing and debugging 7+years of Experience working in an Agile development environment 4 + years Proficiency in storing, querying, and manipulating JSON data in Oracle databases 4 + years Strong ability to create complex queries and views using JSON data 4 + Years Experience optimizing stored procedures and views for performance improvements Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
