Dental Assistant

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities:
- Chairside Assistance:Assist the dentist during patient exams, procedures, and consultations.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and sterile.
- Help with the application and removal of dental materials (fillings, crowns, etc.).
- Take dental x-rays (following all safety protocols).
- Suction and hold instruments during procedures.
- Maintain a clear field of vision for the dentist.
- Patient Care:Greet patients warmly and make them feel comfortable.
- Update and maintain patient dental records.
- Schedule appointments and answer patient phone calls.
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and education on proper dental care.
- Explain treatment plans and answer patient questions in a clear and concise manner.
- Administrative and Clinical Support:Sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies.
- Assist with insurance and billing processes (as applicable).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist.
Qualifications:
- Dental assistant certification (preferred) or experience in a dental setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, compassionate, and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in computer software (dental practice management software a plus)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
