Software Quality Assurance Analyst & Tester

Position Type: Full-Time Salary: up to $90k annually (depending on experience) Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below). • *On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received. Essential Functions: • Analyze, document, troubleshoot, and test web sites and/or transactional applications. • Develop comprehensive test strategies and write test cases that will thoroughly evaluate and test functionality, regression, performance, usability and security of web applications. • Identify and document bugs or errors and provide detailed feedback to the development team. • Implement both manual and automated testing methods. • Assist with collecting and documenting system processes and business rules to ensure test cases align with business requirements. • Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements. • Support 508 compliance testing. • Other duties as assigned or required. • Experience conducting quality assurance and software testing for IT web applications required. • Experience providing requirements gathering/analysis for IT applications required. • Manual and automated testing experience required. • BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience. Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start.
