Job Overview: We're seeking a highly skilled Small Business Underwriter/Sr Small Business Underwriter to join our team. As an underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risks associated with small business accounts within our assigned territories. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage risks associated with small business accounts. Develop and implement effective risk management strategies. Collaborate with agents, regional underwriters, and other departments to grow a profitable book of small business accounts. Provide responsive support and guidance to agents on coverage, billing questions, and policy information. Monitor premium growth for each small business segment within assigned territory using electronic reporting tools. Requirements: Knowledge and Requirements Demonstrate proficiency in usage of all supplied desktop tools, including the automated underwriting and email systems. Ability and desire to develop and execute proactive marketing strategies. Ability to effectively communicate with agents while applying the appropriate sense of urgency. Must be able to build effective relationships with agents, regional underwriters, management, and peers. Education and Experience College degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year of underwriting and/or marketing experience preferred. Designations of AU or CIC or CPCU preferred. Apply Job!
