Job Description

As a Junior Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of the company. Your responsibilities will include assisting the lead controller in preparing financial statements, budgeting, financial forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience in financial risk management and contribute to the development of internal control policies and procedures Key Responsibilities • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements . • Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making . • Compliance and Internal Controls: Monitor and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control policies. Assist in compliance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data . • Financial Risk Management: Contribute to the identification and management of financial risks, such as market risks and credit risks . • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to gather financial data, analyze performance, and provide insights for decision-making. Qualifications • Education: Minimum requirement Bachelor's degree (or undergraduate equivalent) in accounting, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial analysis, auditing, and regulatory compliance. • Experience: Preferably min 2 Years previous experience in an accounting role. Preferred experience would be 2 years of reporting, auditing or general accounting experience at a big 4 accounting firm. • Possess a deep understanding of GAAP and Tax Accounting, including items like expense models, deferred tax assets/liabilities and shareholders equity. • Well-positioned to navigate the ever-evolving world of crypto and digital currencies including self custody, DEX usage, swaps and currency conversions. • Offer unique insights and perspectives by combining crypto literacy and formal education in accounting. • Committed to continuous learning and skill development in both fields. • Stay current with the latest advancements and industry best practices. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential for financial controllers to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations. • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail is crucial in financial management to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment is important for success in this role.
