As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences by engaging with guests, taking orders, and assisting with food service operations. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties • Greet customers warmly and provide them with menus. • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using a POS system. • Ensure food handling and safety standards are met at all times. • Assist in food preparation and presentation as needed. • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house area, including bussing tables and restocking supplies. • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance their experience. • Support sales initiatives through effective communication and upselling techniques. Skills • Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential. • Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. • Strong customer service skills to engage effectively with guests. • Experience in food service or grocery store environments is preferred. • Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management. • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals. • Previous experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
