About the position The Program Director for Practical Nursing (LVN) at Stepful is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Licensed Vocational Nurse program in Texas. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong nursing background to ensure the program meets educational standards and provides high-quality education to students. The role includes managing daily operations, applying for Board of Nursing approval, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Apply for approval from Texas State Board of Nursing for a new LVN program , Modify Stepful's LVN curriculum to meet Texas Standards , Manage program enrollment, including recruitment and admissions, orientation, and registration , Oversee student progress and performance, including grading, academic advising, and program completion , Recruit, train, and supervise program faculty and staff , Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for students , Develop and manage program budgets and resources , Conduct program evaluation and assessment, and make data-driven recommendations for program improvement. Requirements Graduate degree with a major in nursing , 5 years of varied nursing experience since graduation from a professional nursing education program , Actively employed in nursing for the past 5 years, preferably in administration or teaching , A minimum of 1 year teaching experience in a pre-licensure nursing education program , Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or related field, preferably in a healthcare or education setting , Experience receiving Board of Nursing state approval for a new program in Texas , Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Texas , Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners. , Experience with accreditation and regulatory compliance , Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
