Scheduler CAC - Hybrid/Remote

About the position The position involves scheduling procedures for patients using a computerized scheduling system. The individual will be accountable for accurately and completely obtaining the required information during the scheduling process, ensuring that the correct patient and procedure requested has been scheduled. This role also includes responsibilities related to order entry processes, communications, guest relations, medical record maintenance and analysis, as well as various clerical duties within the scope of the role. Initially, the position requires travel to specific locations for the first 8-9 weeks, after which it will transition to a remote work environment. Sentara will provide the necessary equipment, and a reliable internet connection is required for remote work. The role is designed to support the healthcare organization’s mission to improve health every day and to provide excellent service to the communities served. Responsibilities • Schedule procedures for patients in a computerized scheduling system. , • Obtain required information accurately and completely during the scheduling process. , • Ensure the correct patient and procedure requested has been scheduled. , • Manage the order entry process and maintain communications with patients. , • Handle guest relations and maintain medical records. , • Perform various clerical duties as required within the scope of the role. Requirements • High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required). , • One year or more of experience in a call center environment. , • One year experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office. , • One year experience in a healthcare environment. , • Completion of a healthcare-related certificate program.
