Dental Billing Specialist
Key Responsibilities: Manage and process dental claims, ensuring accurate and timely submission. Verify patient insurance information and coverage, particularly for PPO patients and union insurances. Review and resolve denied claims, insurance rejections, and discrepancies. Experience with dental appeals to resolve denied claims and secure payments. Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve issues and follow up on claims. Ensure compliance with dental coding, billing regulations, and insurance requirements. Create and maintain collaborative spreadsheets to share and track billing progress with dental managers. Maintain accurate and detailed records of billing activities. Collaborate with office managers and attend weekly meetings to report on billing status and resolve issues. Qualifications: Dental billing knowledge and experience working with PPO insurance. Proficiency in dental software. Strong understanding of dental insurance policies, including union insurances. Experience working on dental appeals for denied claims. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Certification in dental billing is a plus. Experience creating and managing collaborative spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
