Job title: Virtual Academy Mentor - Multiple positions Company: Battle Creek Public Schools Job description: Mentor Teachers will check in twice weekly with their assigned students to see how their learning is progressing. Teachers will complete the two-way log twice each week after the appropriate two contacts. Each teacher will hold two hours of consistent office hours weekly to be agreed upon with the program director. Mentor Teachers will hold two hours of teacher conferences in the Fall and Spring Semesters at a different time than face to face student/ teacher conferences. Mentor teachers will grade open ended writing or questions. Each Quarter and Semester the Mentor Teacher will transfer the student grade from Pearson to Skyward. This support of virtual students will be in addition to the face-to-face students the mentor teacher is serving in his/her classrooms. Teachers selected will have twice-monthly check-ins with the program director. Compensation: $5,000 stipend per semester paid in accordance with the 2019-2022 BCEA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
